Ability to mute notifications for a time period
We have plenty of issues open for changing the behavior of notifications in different ways including disabling of using @all
@here
etc.
It would be great to be able to mute notifications just for a time. Like from Midnight to 6am or something.
This would also be nice to extend to channels / group level too.
Slack have this feature as you can see below:
@geekgonecrazy we have to fix the conflicts here, but it would be easily done on top of this PR https://github.com/RocketChat/Rocket.Chat/pull/5373
@marceloschmidt that would be awesome. We have a few large communities that would love this
@marceloschmidt and @geekgonecrazy Let me know what you think about PR RocketChat/Rocket.Chat#8806 for close this :-)
Any update on this feature?
I can't stress how much I want this feature. I'm getting close to moving off of the platform in favour of something else and I really don't want to :(
This feature is really needed to provide something that can replace Slack, UX is king, and being unable to mute the entire communicator or specific channels/conversations for a set time (like in Slack, Signal, Whatsapp etc.) is a big UX fail in 2020.
Any activity here? For me it's a must-have for Slack replacement.
I don't understand why it's not a thing. I get pinged a million time from a channel I don't have too much interest in, but if I mute the whole thing I might lose when my boss writes me...

@hugocostadev So why this feature request wasn't transferred into https://github.com/RocketChat/feature-requests along with others? 🤔
