Describe the bug

I am unable to disable spell checking. I am using english UI, but even if I switch to different language, the spell checking triggers for non-english words. I'm working in a multilingual environment, and type technical stuff all the time, it makes no sense for me to have an active spell checker.

interestingly enough, "ok" is no longer highlighted after update

How to Reproduce

I just type in any non-english word.

Describe your Expected behavior

I would like to have a toggle in the preferences to disable the spell checking completely.

This issue is always present.
