Improve logging for apps

Currently the logs are only visible in the App itself. As far as i can see there is no way to send logs to stdout or write them on disk. For debugging of apps, this is rather unuseable. Would be great to have a way to retrieve the logs and export them to external logging etc.

you can send logs to stdout by using console.log
