Problem login

Describe the bug

The app is worked but once contact list is blank and app get error "log in". Button log out not work.

You really need to update your server. You version is over a year out of date and there have been massive changes.

v1.1.1 is current

Same problem here. We're running the server 1.1.1, app version on Android should be the latest one. Only clearing the app cache and app data seems to help - at least for a few hours until the error occurs again.

How i can clean app cache and data? I don't see folder like rocket chat in my android.

You can search the interwebs for generic stuff like this. Usual procedure for Android. Got to Settings, Apps, look for Storage and you can Clear Cache or Clear Data (which will remove all the app settings)

Unfortunately this problem is only solved for the OP. We have the same issue, but it keeps reappearing every day. You have to clear the cache, login and you can chat. After a few hours the app says, that "you have to be logged in to do this" and it aparently can't display the server version correctly. So basically you have to start over.

Same error here. When it happens I still get notifications. When i click them I can see a list of channels witch are out of date (preview of last message) and an error saying:

Sorry, an error occurred, please try again.

Then, when I click on one of the channels, another error pops:

You must be logged in to do this.

Same error shows up when I try to log out. Also app and server version are not displayed correctly as in attached image. Screenshot_20190716-075113_RocketChat App version: 3.4.2 Server version: 1.2.1

The beta version 3.5.0 seems to have fixed this to a certain degree. As far as I can tell now, the session is only dropped after the timout which is set on the server (72h for me). The only "bug" so far is that the user status is not refreshed properly. After a new login I have to manually open every chat/group I need in order to get the status update from that user (online / away etc). But that's acceptable.

It still shows the weird server version sometimes though. But the phenomenon of being able to receive messages while it still complained that you needed to be logged in etc is gone - unless the session is dropped by the server. I don't get logged out after those 72h i.e. redirected to the login page. The client appears to be logged in, but it will show the aforementioned error until you log out manually (which you can do now :) ) Anyway, good job so far guys 👍

Same problem here. I just joined the beta program to see if this fixes the issue as @aimador suggests.

Same here. The phenomenon of the dropped session is still an issue, but I think it's the server.
