Short "Kickstart" Guide Would be helpful

IMHO some kind of "kickstart introduction" is missing - I understand that Snapdrop is supposed to be easy to use, but I don't get how to actually use it... :-(

I open the webpage on my laptop (Chromium 95.0.4638.69 ) and on my Android 10 phone with Chrome browser, both connected to my local LAN / WLAN.

I see circles "radiating" on both screens / machines (with different nicknames):

However, how can I now actually transfer files? I cannot seem to cause any actions by left-clicking this screen, there is no right-click menu, and I tried drag-and-dropping the files to this page on my laptop - it just tries to open them in the browser then...

There is the Snapdrop FAQ which I also found, but it only explains some pretty obscure questions - not the immediately obvious "How am I supposed to actually transfer files?".

I wonder what I'm missing?

Actually, it's quite simple. If you open snapdrop on two devices which are in the same network (-> same public IP), both devices will "see" each other. Then, you can click onto the device and select your files. Alternatively, you can also drop a file onto the peer you want to share the file with.

Ok, probably the issue in my case was that I had an IPv4 VPN enabled on one of the machines. (Even though this didn't affect IPv6, where both machines were in a local network.)

I think adding this information that both machines need to have the same IP address to the "outside world" would be helpful.

Also a screenshot like the one above in the official documentation would help to understand how it's supposed to look like.
