Ostrea angasi samples

Open laurahspencer opened this issue 5 years ago • 3 comments

I have a bunch of Australian flat oyster (Ostrea angasi) tissue in the -80 and in RNA later, with no current plans for them. Tissues include gonad, mantle, and ctenidium. For all, I also have gonad histology images for all sampled individuals. For some, I have adductor in ethanol. 2 sources of oysters were used - wild caught/from southern NSW, and hatchery produced/from northern NSW - and were held in 3 temperatures for spawning. More info here

There are no genomic resources for the species yet, so if there is extra $$ "lying around" or space for sequencing, we could develop some resources for O. angasi. Could be interesting to compare 3 Ostrea spp. - lurida, chilensis, and angasi
