[suggestion/bug?] Common Ore not that common and no config options to fix

Minecraft: 1.15.2 Forge: 31.2.31 Mine and Slash: 3.6.14

I used the mod Worldstripper to check for ore population and noticed that Common ore is not very common at all. In fact, it's less common than gold and due to it's height difference (mostly bewtween Y level 12 and 40) from other ores it's very unlikely to be mined up or even seen in most caves/caverns. I would recommend one of the following for a fix. Either an increase in it's popularity if kept at the height it typically is found at now, and increase in the levels range it's found at, and/or a config option to allow a bit more modpack customization.
