could you show an example of adding to the filter meta key value? e.g. input price and posts are filtered with an exact match value price

Do you mean that you want the create filters based on a metavalue? E.g. a list of of prices which you can filter from? That is not possible with this plugin. If you need that I would recommend https://facetwp.com/
