[FEATURE REQUEST] CM needs half cm taller tick

Open Robbbb opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Metric rulers typically have a taller tick for the 5mm mark. Some also have taller ticks for the even mm instead, 2, 4, 6, 8mm This may be cool.

Adding on to this, as a lifetime user of the metric system. Metric rulers generally don't have subdivisions of the powers-of-two kind (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc). Instead they have decimal subdivisions, so 1/10 - in rarer cases you might encounter 1/2 only. I've never seen one with taller 1/5 (even) ticks, only those with taller 1/2 ticks. But it could be cool as well as a useful option.

Depending on free time, I might fork and contribute.

I agree completely. The default to fractional metric was a compromise of my poor coding skills and I would happily merge any forks that make this project better for the 31/32nds of the world population lucky enough to live under the metric system. 😊
