IDE SSD filesystem corrupted after eject

Open ArKay74 opened this issue 11 months ago • 2 comments

I tried mounting a PATA-SSD which I had set up through WinUAE because I needed to copy a huge amount of files which takes forever in AmigaOS.

So I have a disk set up with 4 partitions. The first 2 were mounted correctly (PFS), there was a 3rd that wasn't browsable and didn't show as PFS. The partition I wanted to work on didn't even show.

So I ejected the 1st partition in Explorer and they all went away. But now I am no longer able to mount the disk (the mount dialog just exits after a few seconds), nor does it work in AmigaOS anymore. Seems like there has been some corruption (even though I didn't change anything in the filesystem that had been mounted r/w).

I'll add this to my list to check for, but could you confirm the total size of the drive? (and what size partitions you created?) Were they all PFS etc or were any OFS/FFS?

The total size of the drive is 120GB. I have created 4 PFS3 partitions (Buffers: 80, MaxTransfer: 0x1FE00):

  • DH0 (System): 501MB (bs=512B)
  • DH1 (Work): 2007MB (bs=512B)
  • DH2 (Storage): 55GB (bs=4096B)
  • DH3 (Extra): 55GB (bs=4096B)

It mounts the first 2 drives...

Size information doesn't seem quite correct. 3.75GB for DH0 and 3.65GB for DH1. Free space information could be correct though (450MB/1.82GB).

It also creates this (without a filesystem, it errors when I click on it)

This time I mounted read-only and the drive appears to be OK after the unmount.
