Matching domain suffixes (leading . problem)

Currently when using this library, using a no_proxy like mydomain.com will not match sub.mydomain.com.

There are plenty of discussions about standardization of proxy env variables and as far as I know, the general consensus is that the above should match and that no_proxy configuration should not need a leading ..

It would be great if this library could be adjusted to be in-line with most other tools.
