I have problem when tried to install Cookie Manager on my phone.

I tried to install this add-on to my Firefox for Android but the download button greyed out. Even I downloaded file from Firefox Add-on website in xpi format, nothing I can do as I cannot choose Firefox to open it and Firefox for Android itself cannot import add-on file into it at all.

Can you check this problem?

Thank you, Polwath R.

It's not possible to install Add-ons on the release version of Firefox for Android. If you're willing to install Firefox Nightly for Android, then you can install any add-on following the instructions at https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2020/09/29/expanded-extension-support-in-firefox-for-android-nightly/

Thank you for reply. I will try that.

It's not possible to install Add-ons on the release version of Firefox for Android.

Is this still true, or am I misunderstanding this?

I'm able to install addons on current Firefox for Android (94.1.1, release), but only a few from a built-in list. That has no search feature.

When trying to install just about anything from addons.mozilla.org, I'm directed to what looks like the same subset of addons - a very small one, where I can search but Cookie Manager is not found.

Is Cookie Manager relying on support for general addons for android compatibility? Would it possible to make CM compatible with current Firefox for Android?

Yes.

Would it possible to make CM compatible with current Firefox for Android?

CM is compatible from the code's perspective.

CM is compatible from the code's perspective.

I mean from AMO/user perspective - is addon listing within the Firefox-for-android category up to the addon publisher (you), or is Mozilla hand-picking these?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/

The list of add-ons at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/ are hand-picked.
