Reddit no sound downloaded (should be an easy fix)
- Ripme version: 1.7.94
- Java version: 1.8.0_251
- Operating system: Win 7 64bit ultimate
- Exact URL you were trying to rip when the problem occurred: https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/
- Please include any additional information about how to reproduce the problem: https://reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/kg8w64/i_may_have_found_an_unfinished_place_in_the_city/ (example video)
Expected Behavior
Downloaded reddit videos have sound.
Actual Behavior
Only the video portion is downloaded, no audio. Thus sound is missing.
Solution: Download not only the DASH_720.mp4 (or whatever the highest resolution is), but also the DASH_audio.mp4, for example: https://v.redd.it/7frgn6yyo5661/DASH_720.mp4 https://v.redd.it/7frgn6yyo5661/DASH_audio.mp4
Then mux both into a single file. Or worst case leave them as separate files, still better than no audio at all. Reddit notoriously deletes posts, and a lot of the videos I got I now will never have audio for, which is a shame.
I already posted about this in an old issue, but it's not showing in the overview and I think it's rather important and should not get buried, especially since the solution is rather simple. The old issue: https://github.com/RipMeApp/ripme/issues/852
As an additional note, doing "Save URLs only" also only outputs the DASH_720.mp4 file location, and worse, it seems to stop after the first page is loaded, so it doesn't get all of the available files. Otherwise I could just use that list together with youtube-dl I suppose.
None of the videos I downloaded have audio, pls help me

For the time being, if you need audio, you have to use youtube-dl (or something comparable), until this is fixed.
