Gunlord (HB)
game img: cdi
Gunlord targets 60fps, however when in game it’s pretty much a solid 30 for the majority of the time. Which makes your movements feel like slow motion. Audio is perfect though.
this would most likely benifit from a 30fps patch.
I would rate it ingame+.
GENERAL pal tv composite
VIDEO Frame skipping - max Per Strip Shadows - yes fog - yes mipmaps - yes use simple shaders - yes delay frame swaping - yes
ADVANCED idle skip float ops gamehack use neon simd self-modifying code checks - off multi-threaded emulation Downclock 2.000
Try to reduce the downclock and to change float ops hack.
1.000 Downclock is best for gameplay more consistent fps hovers around 40 less slow motion. Terrible audio
5.000 Downclock is great audio with slow motion at around 30fps.
I tried to find a middle ground with 2.000 downclock. And I am unsure if float hack makes that much of a difference.
Edit: Btw do these HB games use Windows CE? It gets forced enabled for this game.
If people prefer use frameskip set to 1 and downclock to 1.506 and audio is perfect in menu’s / loading into game, but still stutters in game.
Mix between both audio slows down with gameplay downclock between 1.600-1.680 RECOMMENDED
and if you want smooth audio in game
downclock to 1.800
also have copy to vram enabled.
With these settings the game is very good playable. Clear Sound with some dips. 50~60Fps with some dips and tearing when too much on screen.

These are the same settings I tested and posted multiple options for preferred results. Game is still frustrating to play with a lot of slowdown when fighting enemy’s. Not enjoyable to play.
rating should still be ingame+ when using this rating system
a PLAYABLE game is a game that doesn't run fullspeed but is smooth enough to be enjoyable an INGAME+ game is a game that doesn't have major glitches or crashes in game but has a framerate not smooth enough to be considerable enjoyable an INGAME- game is a game that crashes mid game or has major glitches preventing the game to be played further on

Yeah we have the same performance just a differing opinion based on the rating system above, I don’t think playing a game a 60%-75% movement speed is an enjoyable way to play this game. If you haven’t played it on Dreamcast which is highly enjoyable here is what it should look like https://youtu.be/fXiDHriOJUw. If it was like this on vita 80% of the time while fighting enemies I would rate it playable. But it isn’t and never reaches full speed in fights and is not enjoyable therefore a rating of ingame+ would be appropriate.
