API Error

Open 726574726F opened this issue 5 years ago • 7 comments

When trying to choose a song from spotify-tui, i get the error "API response: Spotify API reported an error. If you are trying to play a track, make sure the official Spotify app is open." The official app is open, and I can play songs there no problem, tui will even detect playback, but I can't choose or play song from tui. Any help?

One thing to check - to control playback Spotify requires that you have a premium account.

Since https://github.com/ramsayleung/rspotify/pull/62, we can hopefully get a little more insight into what specifically is failing, to try to get to the root of some of the API errors.

Nice one @sputnick1124! I've long wanted more detailed error messages from Spotify API response!

It mostly just appends the error code, but it's a start at least!

Help I don't know why but since yesterday I am getting this error and spotify-tui won't work. Screenshot (66) I am using spotify-tui on wsl-UBUNTU 22.04 and installed it through brew.

I have the same issue, except that the song plays nevertheless. Also this happens only in a few songs, not all.
