Implement preferences menu

Open sepehr-rs opened this issue 5 months ago • 1 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. This menu can cover #55's debate on resetting the BPM or not, and also open the door to more user customization.

Describe the solution you'd like A preferences section that would allow the user to customize drum machine's different settings.

Additional context We probably should add GNOME's Ctrl + , as its shortcut.

Well to make this "preferences menu" function useful and not to make it look like bloat or useless, then the program would need a new feature to make this useful, I'm thinking about something called

Presets

I didn't have to make it bold but still, anyways if the issue #14 does get implemented, then the presets will come in handy, the presets allows the user to swap kit pieces as easily and make the program remember about the swapped kit pieces that the user saved (basically allowing for custom instruments), meaning it can make this feature useful

I'm also thinking about changing hotkeys from the preferences menu to add hotkeys for different functions in the app, so you can still make beats even without a mouse, and even still change hotkeys even without a mouse

And finally, move the about menu to the preferences menu so it is also useful to see the about menu

And that's all I got if this feature does get added

Edit: and also manage the swappable kit piece pack by using some json and audio files to make a pack and manage from preferences menu, and also to package the json and audio files all in one zip archive, this is related to the issue I referred to in this comment
