No version number in bower package

Open vincilbishop opened this issue 9 years ago • 8 comments

When trying to load the package here: https://rails-assets.org/components/new I get the message no version number defined. I get the same error when specifying as a dependency in bower.json. Any chance we might add a version in the bower repository?

Thanks for sharing such a useful library!

Hi Premosystems, I'm not familiar with rails-assets. Where is it expecting a version number to be and in what format? There is a version number specified in the bower.json file.

I can't remember what that issue was, but I've moved on to some other solution. There was something that site did not like about the package, but I don't think it's a "standard" mechanism so maybe just don't worry about it. Thanks for contributing such an awesome package!!!

Hey AmirSavand, where are you seeing this?

In bower after installing the package.

@RevillWeb Any updates in this?

I'll look at it as soon as I can, if you'd like to submit a pull request I can merge that in much sooner.
