Incomplete Game Names for Files with extra periods "."

Open IyonUK opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

If I have a game with extra periods in the name, e.g. "This vs. That.zip" only the "This vs" appears in the ROM list. I assume it's assuming anything after the period is the file extension. Is this true?

Can you try renaming This.zip to This.that.zip and share the Name that appears? That should mostly clarify what you are expecting.

Are you using gamelists? Did you scrape the metadata? On Thu, 20 Jul 2017 at 03:24, Saket Dandawate [email protected] wrote:

Hi

No gamelist for these particular ROMs but, guess what? Directories again. :-)

I have the following:

In EmulationStation the first folder shows correctly:

Games

Enter "Games" and the subdirectory is listed as:

Olympic Gold (1992)(U.S

I can the enter that folder and the files within are displayed correctly and launch OK so it must just be a display issue:

Raspberry Pi 3 EmulationStation v2.4.1RP
