Be notified on site if you are sent a Friend Request

I don't check my email very often, so I often miss when a user sends me a friend request. I would like to be notified on the site in some way if someone sends me a friend request. An easy way to do this in V1 would be to send a message to the users inbox like with tickets.

Just want to add: There's options in user settings. Them working is another story... RA Notification Settings Screenshot The only Site Messages I get are PMs and New Tickets.
