[Feature Request] Share Lists and Cards to the public
Hello there,
I often have some idea, some project, some progress or some information I quickly want to share to someone - without giving them access to all my board's content. As described in #2094 it'd be nice to share a list between two boards, but I'd like to have some advanced flexibility for sharing lists and cards.
Expected Behaviour
Each list and card should offer a sharing option providing a link with different access levels, e.g. for the same board, the same organization or to the public. Referencing those share links within the board includes the content if accessible, e.g. you could add a shared card to another list (on another board if selected, or even in another Restyaboard instance) or you could send the link to someone to share details about some project, some idea etc
Current Behaviour
At the moment you can only share links to the cards when the user has access to the board and share a board to the public completely.
Parts of this request
You can split this request up to these ideas
- [ ] get share link for cards and access the content without logging in (needs feature to revoke access)
- [ ] create multiple share links that can be controlled and revoked individually
- [ ] apply the same behaviour for complete lists
- [ ] realize ideas from #2094 so that shared cards and lists can be included somewhere else in Restya
- [ ] make cards, lists and boards federal between different instances of Restyaboard
The concept behind this is partly inspired by Nextcloud's directory sharing and federal features. You might have a look at it if you find the time. It's offers many features!
Thank you very much for creating Restyaboard and considering my ideas!
@fralix Thanks for your kind words. Internally we'll discuss and implement this feature
