No Log File?
The DeepWiki (and the template for this bug report) states that there should be a log.txt file generating in the same folder as FanControl.exe.
I have tried both an installation and portable version of FanControl .NET 10 and neither have a log.txt file appear inside the same folder as FanControl.exe.
What am I experiencing here? I am experiencing this with all versions of FanControl back to v242 (which is the last version that is claimed to work with a plugin I am trying to use)
I was trying to open the log.txt because I keep trying to load a plugin to get my GPD device to work with FanControl, but all it ever says is "Plugin Plugins installed successfully" (I assume because the plugin writer didn't name the plugin properly or something).
However, the software shows the plugin is not loaded and there is no log.txt file for me to see what the heck happened.
Which plugin are you using ? Maybe the plugin has an issue and just reports everything back as no error.
Does this mean the log.txt file is only created if an error is reported?

For me it's not there, so I think there has to be an error or warning. @Rem0o
Yes only if there is something to log.
In any case, this seems like an issue with said plugin, which you didn't link by the way?
I got the opposite issue (over 150MB of log.txt), the text file is in the program's root directory (I've used the portable version)
@iAvoe please open a separate issue with the details of said 150 mb log file.

Sure, but I've deleted this log previously, I don't know if I could open this issue without at least a screenshot proof. I've used fan control for quite long with many updates, that's one reason for generating a big log.
The most common error I can recall from that huge log.txt was the NVIDIA driver updating triggering the 'NVAPI failed...', and I did perform lots of driver updates.
