Can't install PawnIO - Failed to create service.

I've installed Fancontrol and then when I open the software, it asks to install PawnIO. However I'm never able to, as I get 2 errors.

I've used Revo Uninstaller to remove any instances of Fancontol completely, and I don't have any previous installations of PawnIO. I also don't use FACEIT as I've seen in other posts. Not sure what else to do?

Do you have FaceIT at all installed or any remains of it?

Could be FaceIT or some Antivirus.

Thanks. As mentioned, I don't have FACEIT installed. I just tried again and disabled Windows Defender virus protection and firewall, and still get the same.

Well at that point would need to ask @namazso on the PawnIO.setup repo

You had the virtual device opened (via some program) while trying to install or uninstall. You need to close everything that uses PawnIO before attempting to uninstall it.

Thanks @namazso for the heads up.

Is the FACEIT Issue fixed in v251?

@JackyLegs No the driver hasn't changed.

Thanks. I managed to get it installed using these steps:

  1. Disable secure boot from my bios (secure boot is required to be on if you want to play Battlefield 6)
  2. Then run the cmd line "bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON".
  3. Reboot into safe mode and installed it there.
