Fan Control/PawnIO is completely blocking access to some USB MSD w1125h2 asus MB
When using fan control/PawnIO with storage and/or 3rd pty controller sources being selected the driver hangs the entire system when plugging in some but not all Mass storage device thumb drives and some but not all nvme drives in a ssd enclosure. Usb SCSI seemed to not have the glitch. By hang, I mean not just File Explorer but the entire explorer shell becomes mostly non-functional for long enough for me to just unplug the drive because it is effectively locked. With other drives they just wouldn't show up in file explorer or have the present but unmounted icon while completely blocking diskmgmt from scanning disks when loaded. While I completely understand that the "work around" is disabling these two sources, the fact that they can be enabled without a warning is troublesome at best. While the burden may have been on me to read whatever wiki may be available, if it's discussed there, I can't imagine that this would be more than a fix like adding a warning under these two check boxes to rtfm for these two items or nesting it in an advanced tab or drop down. I now have just MB, CPU and Gpu source selected and with the problem gone that is the end of the troubleshooting for me. I'm guessing there isn't a complete fix in the app/driver combo because it would have been done. However, these metrics can be had from other sources and other software without issues so it would seem there is an access method that won't cause these issues. While I truly appreciate the devs who make any of this possible I hope you can help prevent dummies like me from discarding perfectly good hardware needlessly. This I'm sure is also directly related to the eject usb issues as well which led me to this discovery.
