FanControl autostart did not work after upgrade to V249
After the upgrade to v249 FanControl did not start after reboot even though auto start was on and delayed 30 seconds. It did opened manually. I rebooted to confirm.
I turned off auto start, turned it back on, and then saved my configuration. Auto start then worked as expected.
I did not check the task scheduler when it was not working. Sorry about that.
Thanks for reporting, any logs.txt from a maybe failed attempt? Otherwise I can't do much from what you've given me.
I have same problem since 246 or 247. Even enabling FanControl in task scheduler did not help, FanControl does not auto start with Windows....i have to manually open it each time.... https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases/issues/3685
@bojanh66 you didn't answer in the thread.
Does the fancontrol toggle creates the scheduled task, yes or no.
Then if you run said task manually, does it start the program. Finally, did you set some delay? 30 seconds is recommended.

Sorry for not answering, was busy and later i forgot to answer. I enabled fan control in task scheduler, tried to restart PC, but fan control still doesnt start automatically with Windows. And yes, there is 30 seconds delay in fan control configuration. I tried everything i know, but its bugged somehow and i dont know why.
Does your task appears like so ? Is it the right user? Does said user has admin rights?
If you right click it and run, does it work?

Exactly like your picture, except its blue color in yours and grey color in mine. And when i right click on Run, it doesnt start.
@Rem0o Just to inform you, i solved this problem. I deleted fan control task in Task Scheduler, created new task and now its working. Something must have been bugged, so whoever is reading this and have a problem with automatic startup, just delete and create new task.

I've had it as an intermittent problem for a few weeks now at least, where it'll just randomly not launch on startup. After realising and manually opening it, it'll launch automatically on the next restart as if nothing was wrong, without me needing to change anything. Not sure if it's actually the same issue but it might be worth keeping an eye on it in case it happens again.
I've not noticed anything wrong in the error logs in my case but I'll check task scheduler next time it happens though!

This one did not work for me, but I noticed if the scheduled task was already in the process of running, manually running it again would open it. I found the solution for me was creating two identical staggered tasks, one at 30 seconds and one at 35 seconds. This results in fan control opening at start-up ..
