V243 Continuous Refresh
Describe the bug Basically, since the update the sensor all failed and it refreshed, then failed, refreshes, fails, refreshes, fails over and over stuck in a loop. Cant do anything. Rolled back to V242 and everything is fine again working smoothly,
Is there a log.txt file next to FanControl.exe with recent date entries? Unfortunately not as I wiped the version and all files in troubleshooting on my own
Relevant hardware specs and setup i7-13700K MSI 5070 Ti 32GB DDR5 6000Mhz RAM Asus Rog Strix Z690-E Gaming Wifi
Could you go to https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases/issues/3611
And switch the dll I posted there and send me the logs?
happening to me. i tried going back to V242 but still stuck on the endless loop

did you completely uninstall then reinstall? i tried installing, restarting, etc. same issue now as 243
Similar issue for me w/ Asus Z690-G, RTX 5090, and I7-13700k. Mine does seem to eventually stop refreshing if I restart the program, but after resuming from sleep it gets stuck refreshing.
There's a brief popup saying refresh was requested by the libhardwaremonitor.
me too. a window with libhardwaremonitor open always : **" a refresh was requested by this sensors source : librehardawemonitor" and then close and then open...

Unfortunately not as I have completely removed 243 to re-install 242. 243 also destroyed my config so I had to restart that again with re-tweaking it all out of memory. Dont want to install 243 and that happen again.

Yes. Used Revo uninstaller to wipe it completely including left over files and such. Then re-installed 242
same thing happening to me.
same problem here
Similar/same issue here. Doesn't seem to be an endless loop for me.
I launch the user interface and start seeing the refresh messaging. I think FC is refreshing each fan sensor one at a time until it completes. Then it does this a second time.
Seems to happen for me at startup/first time I launch the FanControl 243 UI after booting. I've rebooted three times now...kept count of how many times I see the refresh message...it matches the number of fans I have setup in FanControl...times two.
6 fans * 2 refreshes = 12 messages
Then I don't see refresh messaging until I reboot. I've taken about 30 total minutes testing it out.
a refresh was requested by this sensors source : LibreHarwareMonitor"...the open and close of this window is random...i don't understand. The Fan Control interface opens by itself when the PC starts. normally I have to click on the fan control icon for the interface to open....
