PC CRASHES WHEN OPENING
I had this software for almost a year now no problems lately whenever i try to open it, it freezes my pc and i have to reboot it manually anyone know how to fix it? Windows 11. I had it before and i removed and reinstalled the software and it was fixed now its happening again

Also having to manually reboot after either starting FanControl or loading the LHM dll.

System freezes instantly (without BSOD) as soon FanControl tries to access the hardware via PawnIO. Last known good version of FanControl: V236
I've tried every FC version up to the most recent one (v242) without success.
Please have a look.

I too have a Gigabyte motherboard (GA-990XA-UD3 (rev. 3.0)) that PawnIO-based versions of FanControl immediately freeze on.
When installed (v241, v242), the program does not freeze until a PawnIO install is started during onboarding. FanControl then freezes the computer, but does not actually properly install PawnIO. The PawnIO installer is often corrupted during the process.
If launched without PawnIO, the application runs. If PawnIO is subsequently installed from a different source, FanControl freezes the computer immediately when launched.
Another motherboard I tried (Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0) also hangs immediately after launching if PawnIO is installed on v243.
EDIT 2:
Configured from scratch. Mainbord sensors were found and also the GPU AMD 7850. CPU sensors were NOT found and so i configured one of the mainboard sensors to control it.
Seems to be depending on LibreHarwareMonitor.
Awaiting next update :).
EDIT:
Installed 244 and installed without issues. Now trying to configure FC.
Another board with AMD 9XX chipset : Asrock 970M Pro3. Crashes also afer installing and starting FX 243.
Chipset seems to be to old to be compatible with Pawn / Libre Hardware Monitor.

Thank you for the link! I'm glad that the issue is at least confirmed/identified and namazso is working on it :)
This spreads hope.
For now I just reactivated SpeedFan 4.52. Compared to Fancontrol, of course it only do a poorly job :)

Hey, if anyone is interested in getting this resolved, I posted a quick test binary in https://github.com/namazso/PawnIO.Modules/pull/35 . If some of you don't mind it potentially bluescreening it'd be nice if you could test. If it even produces correct output that'd be even better.
