Hang/pause when adding elements

It's been happening for over a year now, but I don't change things much so it hasn't bothered me hugely.

Any time I add a new element (curve or sensor) the whole UI freezes for 10-15 seconds. It eventually comes back and the element is added, but it gets annoying if I'm adding a few things at once.

Specs? Windows version? What GPU? Seems to be a very isolated issue, would be nice to know the specifics.

For me, Windows 11, Asus x670e crosshair hero, 7950x3d, 4090 and now 5090.

2700x asus prime x470 gigabyte windforce rtx2070 win 11 app is latest v240

new update： it seems fine now, but i didn’t change anything during the process
