Fan speed setting ignored

Describe the bug Fans are correctly identified, however setting to zero RPM is ignored (or any other setting for that matter). I noticed it works intermittently, maybe once out of 10 times, and for a brief period of time. My best guess is that FanControl's settings are being overridden by something else. The hardware is Lenovo ThinkStation. The above applies to all fans.

Is there a log.txt file next to FanControl.exe with recent date entries? [Link it here]

Relevant hardware specs and setup Lenovo ThinkStation.

Lenovo most likely have a built-in fan control/cooling solution. Disabling that, if possible, would probably do the trick.
