Feature Request: Create RPM sync for 4-pin fans

Open CurtisJC opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

Provide a sync fan curve that will sync by RPM as opposed to percentage.

Could be a checkbox on the existing sync. However it would only work if the source has a paired RPM sensor, and the target.

Hey @Rem0o, I have discovered your FanControl app just recently and I can't express enough how thankful I am for your work. I would be also interested in having the opportunity to sync voltage/DC controlled fans with PWM fans. My CPU fan is 3pin DC controlled and all the case fans are 4pin PWM controlled. Would it be possible to map the RPM values to % PWM values somehow?

This would be so useful, please implement it. Maybe as RPM Target.

I'd love to to be able to set 600 RPM for quiet mode and 1000 RPM for gaming mode instead of my current 6 different flat curves.

This would indeed be great, whether for 3 or 4 pin fans. I have 2x140mm fans on the bottom of my case, blowing at the GPU, and both have very different response curves. Currently I've set one of them to be +12% of the other, but ideally I'd want to match their RPM to within ~100.

Please consider adding this feature. <3

Check out the new calibration feature in v183 with rpm mode for fan curves.
