Check for Driver or sensor miscommunication
It's been a couple times at this point that nvidia just updates the gpu driver, breaking the setup I have with Fan Control and the GPU fans. This is fixed by just relaunching the program. HOWEVER, since there is no notification when the driver updates or when the Sensor detection fails, I may go for hours not noticing my GPU is cooking itself because the fans are in 0RPM mode.
My recommendation is to enable Fan control to detect if a sensor just stopped reporting or if the value didn't change for a while and pop a notification if this happens, since as of now, it just thinks the temps aren't changing.
Also, this doesn't happen only with driver updates, but also with driver crashes, where the driver just resets itself, breaking fan control (And other GPU related stuff)
Ugh, indeed FanControl has no specific Nvidia driver crash/driver reset handler.
