@buske can you review and +1 on this? I feel we should still include this in 1.1, as v2 may take some time given complexity and outstanding issues.
I'll migrate this to 2.0 milestone and we can address it there if we still feel it's needed.
I don't know if we agreed on caching or not. I think we agreed it should not be stored in the same way that the receiving databases own data is...
