What I read by this is that... The difference is `schema` is like `$id`, it's the canonical URI, but may not be network addressable, while a `describedby` SHOULD be network...

@awwright If this is likely to be a slow resolution, let's punt it to next draft.

Why not both? The details of what JSON Schema IS, depends on who I'm talking to.

I feel it makes sense to defer this to draft-9. We want to get draft-8 out, and the correct intent is there, but some reordering or rephrasing would help things....
