hd@hd:~$ ydotool key 56:1 62:1 62:0 56:0 ydotool: notice: ydotoold backend unavailable (may have latency+delay issues) hd@hd:~$ ydotool key 56:1 62:1 62:0 56:0 ydotool: notice: Using ydotoold backend hd@hd:~$ ydotool key 56:1 62:1 62:0 56:0 ydotool: notice: ydotoold backend unavailable (may have latency+delay issues) --(hd@hd:~$ ydotool key 56:1 62:1 62:0 56:0 ydotool: notice: Using ydotoold backend hd@hd:~$ ydotool key 56:1 62:1 62:0 56:0 ydotool: notice: ydotoold backend unavailable (may have latency+delay issues) --(hd@hd:~$ --(^C hd@hd:~$ ydotool mousemove --absolute -x 100 -y 100 ydotool: notice: ydotoold backend unavailable (may have latency+delay issues) ydotool: mousemove: error: unrecognised option '--absolute' hd@hd:~$ ydotool mousemove --absolute -x 100 -y 100 ydotool: notice: ydotoold backend unavailable (may have latency+delay issues) ydotool: mousemove: error: unrecognised option '--absolute' hd@hd:~$ ydotool mousemove -x 100 -y 100 ydotool: notice: ydotoold backend unavailable (may have latency+delay issues) ydotool: mousemove: error: unrecognised option '-x'

with the server:

root@hd:~/ydotool/build# sudo systemctl daemon-reload root@hd:~/ydotool/build# sudo service ydotool start Failed to start ydotool.service: Unit ydotool.service not found. root@hd:~/ydotool/build# ydotoold --socket-perm 0660 ydotoold: listening on socket /tmp/.ydotool_socket ydotoold: accepted client Erreur de segmentation (core dumped)

how could it be solved? I thank you vm

you can obtain the latest release and try installing it instead. When I ran "apt-get install ydotool," I encountered the same error, but this is likely because the version available through apt-get is not up-to-date.

thank you I tried by compiling with https://askubuntu.com/questions/1413829/how-can-i-install-the-latest-ydotool-1-0-1-keyboard-automation-tool-working-on

even while service looks like started, It stops by :

failed to connect socket `/run/user/1000/.ydotool_socket': No such file or directory

even if service looks like already started:

ydotoold Socket path: /tmp/.ydotool_socket error: Another ydotoold is running with the same socket.

how could I do?

I got it working by touch it /bin/touch /run/user/1000/.ydotool_socket

then run it with /usr/bin/ydotoold --socket-path="/run/user/1000/.ydotool_socket" --socket-own="1000:1000"
