In-game messages are hidden if Discord → Minecraft messages are disabled

I installed and configured this mod on my server and it works great. However, I only wanted the transmission of the death, join, leave, etc., but not the discord message forwarding. I disabled send_messages_to_discord and send_messages_to_minecraft by setting them to false in discord4fabric.json, but in-game chat is hidden when send_messages_to_minecraft is disabled. To be specific, chat shows up in the console but not to a client in-game.

Furthermore, discord messages are still transmitted to Minecraft even with send_messages_to_minecraft set to false

any update to this? I'm trying to disable discord>>minecraft chat bridge aswell^^
