make readme better
it doesn't list any features, or show any screenshots to prove the "beautiful Discord bot client" claim. it just doesn't give me any information on why this mod is better or what features it might have that others don't. people shouldn't have to go out of their way to figure out what this mod is, and you should include as much info as you can to convince people to download. all i can tell is it's a discord link mod, of which there are many, but i dont know why i should pick this one.
So I didnt write this mod, BUT I can tell you that it IS beautiful. It is also free. So maybe you might consider that when talking about what people that are getting something for free should or shouldnt have to do. And no-one has to PROVE anything to anyone. Why would someone writing code for free need to prove something to you so that you use it?
In other words, cut the guy some slack, and do your research. Install it and see.
im not saying this for my own sake, I'm saying it for the sake of the mod creator. im not demanding it, I'm making a suggestion on how it can be improved so that more people can enjoy the mod.
most people are not going to download all their options and pick the one they like best, they're just going to click a few of the top results, briefly scroll through the mod descriptions, then pick one and download it. and unless there's a serious problem with it, they're just going to stick with that one. 90% of people are not going do any research at all. the rest will do as little research as possible.
without a good description, you're losing the majority of downloads to mods with better descriptions. even if this mod is way better than the others in every way, if it doesn't look like it from the description, people aren't going to ever know. and this mods description is very empty, which makes it seem like it hasn't had much effort put into it. at the very least it should have a picture.
but I would suggest:
- single picture that shows the mod in use
- better description that explains the main purpose of the mod to people who aren't familiar with other discord mods, the main idea behind the mod, what it does better than similar mods, etc
- expand feature list to more items, and explain them (webhooks? for what? what do they do? custom events? for what and why? what is customizable?)
- a gallery of more images to show more niche features
- full lists of other features, such as all the things you can customize, all the webhook events, etc.
