Could not verify version

After i update my mods to v33a, i started getting this "could not verify version" for all of them. I had no changes to my internet settings so I have no clue why it is like this. Is this related to the change from google sites to github pages?

The thing is, it says for me I can run commands like /checker disable DragonAPI in chat to disable the but that does not do anything? On the next reboot the popups are back. Where is that information saved? the config file? level.dat? somewhere else entirely? I am trying so hard to disable these.
