L340 Gaming 15IRH incorrect mappings in conjunction with CMD(ALT) modifier key
MacOS Big Sur 11.2
In my L340 Gaming 15IRH laptop, the keyboard works fine for the most part. Weirdly enough, my top row number keys when used in combination with modifer key CMD (ALT key) is mapped to entirely different keys.
So for example, if I press CMD+Shift+1, OS detects it as CMD+Shift+S, CMD+Shift+D for CMD+Shift+2 and so on. Any idea how to fix this? Because I couldn't get my infamous ELAN0626 trackpad to work, so had to rely on a mouse at all times. So my keyboard has to work somewhat reliably.
I read about PS2->PS2 mappings, can this help? Although I tried using debug variant of the kext, and used ioio to set ApplePS2Keyboard's LogScanCodes property to 0x1. But when I go into Console.app, I couldn't find ApplePS2Keyboard's logs. Although the log does appear when I was booting/shutting down the machine.
