Please, does anyone know how to update this kext to be able to enable USB 3.0 (ASMedia 1042) to work on Big Sur?

You should recompile it under Big Sur with the latest Xcode, but I am sure it won't work without changing some code because a friend of mine tried to recompile it and he got many errors. If he finally finds the way to recompile it without any errors, I try it with my card and it works, I will post again with the results.

Can you please share to me that file? I really need that kext to patch my unsupported usb 3.0 controller... If you can share to me the code or directly the file i would be really so grateful. Thanks in advance. <3

Try this kexts. Work for me. They are not perfect, it only works with USB 3.0 on USB 3.0 ports (USB 2.0 does not work on 3.0 ports), but it is already an improvement. I have some freezes in the system, I don't know yet if these are the kexts, I'm checking. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Hmdc8L_ty0xWgaYNwoTpOUIZ2BemZ3Vc/view?usp=sharing

@viniciusmi00 Thanks for sharing those kexts, Vinicius! I recently upgraded my 2011 MBP from Catalina to Monterey and was able to install these drivers by copying those two kexts to appropriate "kexts" folder in OpenCore, but I find that it'd only detect/recognize certain USB mass storage devices (usb sticks). :-(

In fact, it only managed to recognize one (and only one) of my USB drives. That said, I can confirm that it's operating at USB3 speeds.

Vinicius, have you since found better kexts?
