Give more items on respawn, but limited by a timer
For both Diggy and Biter battles, it would be nice to have a feature that when you die and respawn, you get some ammo and an SMG. This should be:
- Off by default, so you can turn it on whenever you want (to prevent early game abuse)
- Have a cooldown timer, so you can't die all the time and get infinite ammo
There's only 1 use-case I can personally think of when I've wanted to spawn with a weapon and ammo, and that's if spawn is overrun.
So how about on respawn we check for biters in the nearest X tiles and if more than Y are detected we give a weapon and ammo?
That's an option as well, would be simpler to implement, but this would make it really easy to just keep respawning with biters at the silo
Oh sorry, I missed that you wanted it specifically for diggy and biter. I was talking for broad application. I would think biter battles is one of the only maps that we wouldn't want to ever give weapon and ammo for the sake of balance.
