Is "new_6" in the project name? this could be potentially causing an issue too? Could you share the project/solution that's failing to build?

@mattleibow do you recall why we ended up pinning these? It looks like the change to do so happened in https://github.com/dotnet/maui/pull/5407 but I'm not seeing any explanation of the choice...

There's a number of factors that may compound here causing this particular sample to be somewhat slower. We are continuing to investigate these and look at introducing fixes and improvements....
