I tend to take a different approach with my projects. I usually prioritize readability and maintainability over small performance improvements. I wounder if we can get the best of both...

@vitaly-t This one is now ready. A lot of the previous comments seem to be irrelevant now as the PR does less than it initial was intended to do.
[Fixed here](https://github.com/RebeccaStevens/iter-ops/tree/shared-array-buffer) but this relies on #96 so I'll open a PR for it once that is merged.
Ready now.
I'll leave that function alone for now and focus else where. Maybe once I'm more familiar with the codebase; that function's purpose will click better for me.
