New setting is here on the "Filter Actions" tab of fq settings:

to install, download zip file and drag into Thunderbird Add-ons Manager (don't extract).

... no warrantees that large values will always work, there was a reason for the original restriction. the actual maximum file and path name length depends on your operating system.
