Interesting setup. Show me the output of: ``` cd /files1 ls -la ```

`scasoft` folder, where your user's home originated belonged to root. So `scasoft` user was unable to do anything within that folder. `chown` command set `scasoft` as owner and `chmod 700`...
`/files1/scasoft/.filemin` appeared?
Do you have some files in there? Like `.buffer` or `.session`?
And now if you restart Filemin, what happens?
Nope, just close browser tab, and open filemin once more.

Ok, I'll see what can I do with this crappy piece of IE. And for now I can only advise you to use some sane browser like Chrome or Firefox...
