Accident 32: Surface Map's objective markers past current objective aren't visible

Open WhenTanksFly opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

When trying to view locations of the next objectives from the mission info screen (both in lobby and after starting the mission), the red square-ish markers don't display in most missions of the new campaign. This shows mostly in the second mission, Powerhood, as I can't tell what eggs are gone until the two south buttons are pressed. markeroni Additionally, would make sense to always show the yellow minimap markers for uncomplete objectives that don't require other objectives being done first. Like those eggs.

when they are enabled there are yellow arrows on the map, which was suggested to me to remove them so people who dont know the map do the objectives in order

So... I didn't realize that's how most campaigns work. Zomg. Still feels like a valid complaint though. Then again, a few maps completely hide next objectives until the previous one is completed, so maybe this map's way of achieving similar result is nice in comparison.

How does U.S.C. Medusa (from Operation Cleansweep) manage it so that the top 2 objectives' arrows only appear on radar after the stairs after north biomass, while keeping all objectives visible on Surface Map all the time? Is it just distance? Perhaps the same logic could somehow be used there (which may or may not look good or be worth it)? Both of those objectives' arrows become visible from anywhere once the reactor objective is completed, too.
