feat (YT Music/`Remember Video Quality`): Remembers Video Quality Set for Video-Only Songs
Application
YT Music
Issue
Currently, YT Music lacks several customization features that could greatly enhance user experience and personalization within the music streaming platform. I would like to propose the implementation of several theming and customization options for YT Music, similar to the features available in the YouTube app.
Patch
Enable YT Music to remember the preferred video quality for songs. This will allow users to set their desired video quality once and have it applied automatically to future song playback. It saves users time and ensures they always enjoy their preferred video quality.
Motivation
By implementing these theming and customization options, YT Music will offer users greater control over their experience and allow them to tailor the app according to their preferences. These enhancements will contribute to a more personalized and enjoyable music streaming experience overall.

You can set your preferred qualiy in the settings
I am talking about video quality in YT Music. Not the YouTube app.
Yes, me too
I don't see any patches or option to do this anywhere. Please enlighten me.
The option exists in the settings of YouTube Music
No, I am not seeing any such options within the YT Music settings.
Edit: Any updates?
I think there's no such option and this issue is valid.
These?
What are these? One is to change the video quality. The app doesn't remember it for every video. The second is for audio quality, for which a patch already exists.

You can select your desired quality, between low high and medium.
The audio patch only unlocks high quality codecs, and has nothing to do with this patch.

Where is this settings that you are sharing?

This is audio quality.
This is YouTube music, looks good to me.
It's YouTube Music, not YouTube Audio. Music doesn't mean audio only. Songs come in both audio and video formats. And not all songs have their respective audio files which forces users to play video songs. And thus having a patch that remembers video quality is necessary.
If you want to watch videos, you should use YouTube. If you want to listen to music, this implies the opposite.
If you want to watch videos, you should use YouTube. If you want to listen to music, this implies the opposite.
Not all songs have audio files though. And if the user isn't using the "Don't play music videos" option, they are forced to watch a low res video and have to change video quality everytime for such songs.
Which videos don't have audios?
One such song Aspirin by MuryokuP. There is only a video song version.
As it's a Japanese Vocaloid song, the only available version is a video song version uploaded by ikuy398 and another by Powerless.

Search "Hotline Bling Drake" & "Ni**as in Paris Jay Z" in YT Music app.
You will only get videos, not songs.
Over time, a lot of feature requests have been made, which is why I am closing some according to the contribution guidelines:
Requests can be accepted or rejected at the discretion of maintainers of ReVanced Patches
This feature request has been closed for one or more of the following reasons:
- Stale for too long
- Low priority
- Maintainers un-interested
- Too complex to realize
Regardless, anyone who comes across this feature request can PR it. Thanks for the feature request!
