[Feature Request] Enhancements and Integrations

First off, congrats on the excellent project!

I've been searching for months for one with AniList support, and I finally found yours! Seriously, thank you!

Alright, here we go:

Some of these suggestions might be a bit ambitious, and maybe you're not interested in implementing them, but I wanted to put my ideas out there.

1- It would be great to have a notification option. Basically, when the software is open, I'd get notifications for anime that have new episodes releasing that day, reminding me to watch them. 2- Along with the notification options, better integration with the system tray would be awesome, since the software doesn't run in the background.

More ambitious requests:

1- Integration with browsers/websites in general. The software would manually analyze what I'm watching to see if it's an anime. If it is, it would ask if I want to add it to my list, mark it as "plan to watch/rewatch," etc. 2- Same as above, but with an added feature: Episode tracking. Each episode I watch would automatically be marked as watched on AniList.

Yeah, I know there are tools like MAL-Sync, but I'm all about convenience, which is why I'm suggesting this.

I'd rather have an all-in-one solution than use X here and Y there. Anyway...

Thanks again for the excellent software!

@animetrom

I really like the ideas that you suggested.

  1. Yes, I can probably do something like that. It seems like a great way to remind the user to watch the current season of anime.
  2. I will be doing the startup/system tray support for the app. This was suggested from issue #3 and is one of the current planned features to be added later.

For the more ambitious requests: I'm not really sure how to approach these issues as I can't think of a way to communicate between this app and a user's browser without having to create a completely different project for the sole purpose of doing just this. This would probably need to be some sort of browser extension that can check for when a user watches an anime, identify it, and then relay that information back to the app. There would be too many problems to tackle and the complexity for it might be a bit too much for me.

I figured this was a long shot, and there are probably tools out there that already do this. Also, sorry, I didn't check the other issues to see if anyone had already requested something similar.

@Bamboozul To avoid opening another issue for something simple like a suggestion, I wanted to propose adding support for other languages in the UI and an automatic translation option (using Google API, Gemini API, or any translation service) for synopses. I think that would be really cool, considering many people have trouble understanding English.

Of course, adding support for more languages in the UI could be a collaborative effort. Anyone who wants to help translate the software into a specific language could do so through some platform – I honestly don't even know the names of the available ones, haha!

But yeah, just a suggestion. I'd be happy to translate it into Brazilian Portuguese.
