@kraqbi Thank you for your submission!
Normally, we expect under "Original article" a reference and link to the paper that is the subject of your replication. From a quick glance at your manuscript, that's your reference [2], right?
It also looks like your submitted article is not finished. There are several notes from and to the authors left in the text, e.g. under "Data availability". Could you please handle these points and submit a final version>
@khinsen You are right! Should I update the issue to match these guidelines (sorry for the confusion).
I indeed did not update our latest commit. I pushed the final version. Everything is in order. Thank you.
@kraqbi Thanks! I put the reference to the original article (as cited in your metadata, so it's the 2021 paper) into the first message of this issue.
@ChrisRackauckas @FedericoV @maclandrol Can any of you review this ReScience C submission? It's about a replication of an ODE model for glucose uptake in the enterocyte, implemented in Julia.
@khinsen Hello. This is our first time submitting to ReScience so I was wondering: how long does it usually take for the publication process?
won't have time behind
Thanks @ChrisRackauckas for your reply!
@kraqbi We have a wide distribution of delays. Like all scientific journals these days, we struggle to find reviewers. I have e-mailed a few people but received no replies so far. Feel free to suggest names!
@khinsen , sure we can suggest names. Should the reviewer have an expertise in modeling? In Julia? Are there other criterias?
@kraqbi We expect reviewers to re-run your code and check if they get the same results. That requires basic Julia competence in your case. On the scientific sides, reviewers should be able to judge if your replication of the original work is satisfactory by the standards of the discipline.
@khinsen After a talk with my co-authors, we have two names to suggest: Gleb Pogulin https://www.lix.polytechnique.fr/Labo/Gleb.POGUDIN/ [email protected] and Annabelle Ballesta https://institut-curie.org/person/annabelle-ballesta#contact
I can review the paper (but only in December, hope this is fine).
Thanks @pogudingleb! Yes, December is fine.
