Data not located when installing Arena through Steam

Open nickserv opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Detailed context (ISSUES WILL NOT BE INVESIGATED WITHOUT IT!): https://mtga.cc/u/NickServ

Your Desktop:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • App type: Standalone
  • App Version: 2.2.26

Describe the bug I recently installed Arena through Steam as I have more games and friends on there than Epic games. However, it seems like while the tracker is still detecting the game, my profile is not updating until I manually locate the installation directory.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install tracker
  2. Install Arena on Epic
  3. Install Arena on Steam
  4. Play Arena on Steam
  5. Try to check tracker profile

Hello, I don't have MTG Arena on Steam or Epic but I installed MTG Arena client on a different folder then the default one. I have set the correct location of MTGA Data folder on MTG Arena Pro tracker's Settings tab and it worked for me. Maybe you could do the same by locating that folder on Steam or Epic MTG Arena installation.

Browsing the installed game in Steam properties and locating the same location in the tracker's settings seems to work.

It doesn't seem like src/app/mtga_dir_ops.ts is able to locate Steam installations of the game by default, though, which would be more convenient.
