This is not a discord.py issue The documentation is completely unusable if it freezes my entire PC

@mas6y6 This doesn't happen on my laptop. It's most likely something wrong with your PC, not the docs

Happens to me too. My guess is it's just way too much content in a single page.

We've had unconfirmed reports about this for a while now.

Are you using Google chrome, or another chromium based browser? If so, can you test using a private window (no extensions & no cache) and test using Firefox or Edge?

There's speculation that chromium tries to load the whole ToC and contents into memory upon load.

I am using Google Chrome and when I use other browsers like Edge and Opera GX it slows down my computer. On my Mac it works fine just a little slow but windows it having a stroke

Those are Chromium browsers (I was incorrect earlier about Edge). You'd likely avoid this with Firefox. That does help reports thus far, and there is some pending documentation work to try and split up from a single ToC.

I'm using Brave.

I have the exact same issue as this. My cursor slows down and nearly everything (Windows itself it looks like) stops responding.

Yeah I would like to get this fixed because I am working on 3 different discord bots and I would like this to be fixed ASAP.

Again, we only get sporadic reports of this only affecting SOME browsers. If it is entirely pressing then use a non-chromium browser (e.g. Firefox) which has 0 reports of this issue. You can monitor the progress of the aforementioned docs work on the project board entry.

I use Firefox on three different computers, all 3 have the same issue. I've tried stock Firefox, and Firefox Developer Edition on two of them, both freeze horribly (mouse laggy, can't switch windows, can't click/highlight, etc) Windows 11 as well if that matters.
