[1.20.1] Rendering issue with Draconic Evolution's shaders

Open FoxMcloud5655 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

When ImmediatelyFast is installed, a Draconic Evolution Shield and any armor piece that has transparent pixels makes the transparent pixels render at full opacity.

This was tested using Draconic Evolution and Alex's Caves, with any of the Chestpieces from Draconic Evolution filled with at least 1 Energy Module, 1 Shield Controller Module, and 1 Shield Module (Capacity or Recovery) alongside the Alex's Caves Hood of Darkness.

Versions: Minecraft: 1.20.1 Forge: 47.2.20 ImmediatelyFast: 1.2.18

For testing if needed: Draconic Evolution: 3.1.2.583 Alex's Caves: 1.1.4

Upload a game log and exact steps to reproduce the issue

Understood. I just actually figured out that I can get the issue to be reproduced with just Draconic Evolution if you put a tool that uses a custom 3D model with its own shaders into the hotbar and exit the inventory, rendering it only on the in-game HUD.

  1. Load Minecraft with Draconic Evolution, Brandon's Core, CodeChickenLib, and ImmediatelyFast.
  2. Join a world, then grab a Draconic Staff of Power from the Creative Inventory for maximum visibility of the issue.
  3. Place the Draconic Staff of Power into your hotbar, then exit the inventory.
  4. Observe that the staff is no longer rendered.

This issue with Draconic Evolution's shield and any transparent armor piece (like from Alex's Caves) might be related, but I suspect it's actually the shaders that DE is using that's causing the root issue. Here is the latest.log for the above steps I took.

Is this issue still relevant with the latest version of ImmediatelyFast?
